The Archive

The Kelsey Brackett Studio Archive, established in 2035, is a living and evolving archival institution dedicated to preserving, interpreting, and providing access to the ongoing creative work of contemporary artist Kelsey Brackett. Like museum and gallery archives that document the careers of artists represented in permanent collections, this archive serves as both a scholarly resource and a growing record of an active artistic practice.

The archive currently houses four collections spanning canvas paintings, digital artworks, textile wall sculptures, and personal art journals, offering a multifaceted look into Brackett’s creative process. Together, these works trace the development of form, color, material experimentation, and thematic evolution from 2022 onward.

As a working archive, it continues to expand alongside the artist’s career, documenting new creations and the ideas behind them. In addition to preserving artwork, the archive supports community engagement through educational programming and access for creative and academic research, allowing visitors, students, and scholars to explore both the completed works and the living practice of their maker.

About the Artist

Kelsey Brackett is a Marietta-born contemporary artist whose work continues to evolve within the active Kelsey Brackett Studio Archive. A graduate of Kennesaw State University (2016), she spent ten years as a graphic designer before expanding her career into archival practice and the study of creative documentation.

Her artistic practice includes acrylic and digital painting, textile wall sculpture, and the maintenance of extensive art journals that illuminate her process. Vibrant color, imaginative visual narratives, and a meticulous attention to craft characterize Brackett’s work.

As a living artist with an ever-growing body of work, she continues to create, exhibit, and expand the archive, providing an ongoing record of her development, experimentation, and artistic exploration.
